Katie’s passions of art making, education, and community building combine as she works collaboratively in small and large groups to create art works of varying sizes and facilitate a communal creative experience. Katie works with families, groups or residents or students, as well as entire organizations for team building experiences. Katie’s goal is for each participant to experience the collaborative creative process, as well as the internal narrative of their individual creative capacities, in a new light.

ambient art

When a creative work alters the ambience and environment to create an immersive space it has the power to impact every human experiencing the space. From interior murals to large scale installations, Katie’s ambient art is infused with color, form, and feeling. She takes a special interest in working with fibers, upcycled materials and bold colors in both residential, private, and public spaces.

studio works

Katie utilizes a love of color, form, and movement to create a variety of works on paper, canvas, and vinyl independently in the studio. These pieces contain personal themes of community, healing, the environment, and cathartic self expression. The originals, and limited prints, are available for sale.
